Your “Online Hard Disk”

Probably you already have heard about cloud computing and the trend of having everything online (photos on flickr, videos on youtube or your documents on What I have found is an application that creates a folder in your computer that automatically syncs with a “cloud hard disk”. This applications is called Dropbox.

In practice that means that all the files that you put in this folder are stored at the same time on a server and are available anytime, anywhere. The most exciting thing is that all these happen automatically in real time.

What you need to do to install that applications is to go to the Dropbox website, download the application (available for Windows, Mac, Linux, Android, iPhone, Blackberry etc). Install the application, create an account and that’s all.

Now you can store all your files online without using any browser just by using the dropbox folder.

Of course you can also have access to your files from the dropbox website.

Start exploring the dropbox and leave a comment about how you use it.
